The information contained in the Rural Safe online induction (CuBAT) is intended for use as a basic aid to inducting an employee in the occupational health and safety procedures and policies that generally apply in the rural workplace. Rural Safe has gleaned the content from reputable and reliable health and safety sources. Rural Safe does not guarantee that the information provided is totally accurate or complete and therefore is not responsible for any errors or omissions. Rural Safe accepts no responsibility if the information published is used for any purpose other than the one intended.

This is NOT a safety programme, but a tool to assist in ONE stage of a safety system. A thorough on-site induction is recommended after this online induction is completed and before an employee actually starts work.

Privacy

We will only record your e-mail address and other details if you send us a message or complete an electronic form. Information you provide will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it and will not be added to a mailing list unless you have requested such. We will only disclose your information to third parties for the purposes for which that information was originally provided, eg. in relation to employment opportunities and associated activities carried out by Rural Safe.

Where information is collected and maintained on any Rural Safe database for the purpose of providing a service to Rural Safe clients, then all reasonably security measures to protect this data from unauthorised third parties will be carried out.

It is not possible to provide total security of data sent over the Internet. If you have concerns about the transmission of your personal information via email or other electronic means, please contact Rural Safe by phone, fax, mail or in person.

Our service provider makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes - the user's server address, the user's top level domain name (eg. .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc.), the date and time of the visit to the site, the pages accessed and documents downloaded, the previous site visited and the type of browser used. No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities except, in the unlikely event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the service provider's logs.
